Kayode, taking on the usually testing Jonte Willis (9-8-1, 3), may not have looked sensational though he did manage to score a rare stoppage over Willis unloading a combination late into round 6 that forced the referees hand. The result is a good one for Kayode though the performance wasn't really and if anything it suggests that Kayode won't be a Heavyweight level challenger, he'll be entertaining to watch, due to his faults, though we doubt he'll ever manage to make the step up to the world level.
Although some may feel the first Heavyweight bout of the year was in Hungary where Andras Csomor stopped Vasil Mandea, we're actually tempted to suggest that was a Cruiserweight bout and not a Heavyweight one. We may be wrong but it's the view we're taking for now.
