In one corner we get the hard hitting, though fragile, Matt Hicks (13-9, 12) a man who has been stopped in all of his losses to date including his last 7 contests, and in the other we get Clinton Bonds (5-15, 3) a less notable name and a less active one.
Whilst Hicks has fought like a man who knows that a fight can, and often does, end quickly, Bonds has gone the distance in 7 of his 20 bouts, albeit losing in most of those distance contests.
Unfortunately the records of the two men only tell us half a story and for Bond this will be his first contest in over 4 years, coming in to the bout on a 4 fight run of stoppage losses, including one in 2008 to Hicks. It's with this in mind that we tip Hicks to claim a victory, probably early on.
