The Heavyweight action of the day appears to begin in the Czech Republic as the unbeaten Vaclav Nemecek (1-0, 1) battles the debuting Nikola Lukac (0-0). For Nemecek it's a return to the ring after exactly 9 months out, following his opening round victory over Josef Kuricaj. For Serbian Lukac he knows he's being paid to lose though as a debutant he could be a surprise package of sorts.
In Mexico the debuting Joel Avina (0-0) takes on Juan Luis Lopez Alcaraz (3-7-2, 1) in what looks like a miss-able affair. Alcaraz, with 12 bouts on his ledger has gone 2-3-1 against debutants so far in his career though he did notably go the 4 round distance with a young Andy Ruiz Jr back in 2010.
The only other bout we have details about at the moment is in Kansas, USA as the unbeaten Thomas Jones (1-0) fights the hard hitting and once beaten Nick Guivas (6-1-1, 5). On paper it would be easy to favour Guivas though he has managed to amass a record fighting very inexperienced opponents and an upset in favour of Jones would be far from a shock.
