The most notable of those bouts saw Curtis Harper (10-3, 7) score a stunning upset over Joshua Tufte (15-1, 6) in a result that may go do as one of the Heavyweight upsets of the year. Tufte, a once promising prospect, was clearly beaten here and now finds his career in tatters.
The second "most notable" bout on the show was also an upset as David Long (12-4-2, 8) dropped a split decision to the tough but limited Ed Perry (20-5-2, 11). This was just the second win in 4 years for the 38 year old Perry.
On the same card fans got to see the unbeaten Danny Calhoun (4-0, 3) extend his winning run as he over-came the debuting Shamar Davis (0-1) in 3 rounds. We'd hope that if Calhoun is serious about this sport he will step up his competition but at 31 years we don't see it happening sadly.
