The bout was messy from the off with the ridiculously out of weight Mansell looking slow and sluggish against the quicker Hamer. Hamer's speed was evident from the way he was able to land counters almost at ease on Manswell who tried to neutralise Hamer by wrestling.
Unfortunately for Manswell the wrestling didn't really help Manswell who got clobbered in the maul and went down face first. Although Manswell claimed a rabbit punch the referee ignored the claims for a disqualification of Hamer and instead awareded histhe opening round TKO.
Sadly there was some ugly scenes after the bout with Manswell clearly unhappy at the result.
On the same card there was female action as well as Sonya Lamonakis (7-1-2, 1) out pointed Tanzee Daniel (4-3-1, 1) in a pitty-patty affair. Unfortunately neither woman had the power to hurt the other and this fight really wasn't anything great as a result, though it was competitive.
Notably, as least for us, the Lamonakis/Daniel bout is the first female bout we've ever features on this site!
