The most important of those Heavyweight bouts was in France where the unbeaten former Olympian Newfel Ouatah (12-0, 8) reclaim the French Heavyweight title with a 4th round KO over Gregory Tony (20-5, 15).
Ouatah, who had first the title in 2010, had lost the title out of the ring in 2013 with some suggesting he wanted to avoid a clash with Tony. This time however the unbeaten 28 year old made sure no one doubted him as finished off Tony and may well have sent him into retirement in the process.
The other bout, which was at a much lower level, was in Latvia as the "Finnish Butterbean" Janne Katajisto (15-1-1, 7) picked up a 3rd round victory on the round.
Katajisto, coming in at a very portly 276.5lbs was almost 70lbs heavier than Juris Kirins (1-4, 1) who was stopped in round 3 of a bout that appeared to be a mismatch from the off.
